So the cooking marathon has officially begun. My sister and I decided to give my mom a break this Thanksgiving and do all the cooking and entertaining at our home this year. My mom put up a bit of a fight but was happy to see us taking over some of the family traditions. We have about 18 family members coming over to dinner and six staying over the whole weekend. We are currently in the middle of prepping two turkeys, a ham, a roast pork, all the traditional trimmings and pie baking for tomorrows feast. Holly horror!! I don’t know how my mom made it look so simple all these past years. It’s going to be a long, busy night. I even put my 5 year old niece to work on peeling apples. Through all the chaos, we are having tons of fun in the kitchen and look forward to serving some of our “hopeful masterpieces” for Thanksgiving Dinner.
“Thanksgiving is a time for togetherness... it's an occasion to be spent in the warm and loving company of family, loved ones and friends enjoying turkey roast and pumpkin pies with them. Thanksgiving is also an opportunity to renew the ties that bind us with the ones we love... it is a time for remembering, cherishing and being thankful for all the good things you have been blessed with. So it's time to say 'Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family'
